Free From What?

When we know the truth and the truth sets us free, what is it that we are freed from? I know you know the answer to that. However, many people think that being freed from the law means that we can't never do wrong again. Being free from the law and now being under grace and peace does not mean that we will never experience problems is life. It simply means that in the midst of all those problems that every human being encounters, we can still be calmed in our hearts knowing that God loves us all unconditionally.

However, for those who are still basing their relationship to God through the works of the law, they will never believe nor accept that God sent Jesus to die for the sins of men and women who are known to have committed the worse kind of crimes, just as much as He died for all who have never committed the worse of crimes. I believe that this is where the whole issue of understanding, accepting and embracing grace rests.

The way religion sees it, grace can only be evident in the life who is known to confessed and believed, goes to church, read their bible and do all those churchly goody things. But the moment some hears that Christ died just as much for the worse of criminals, and known sinners who have never done any of those charity goody things, that's where the law of Moses surfaces in people's hearts and mind, and say: No way Jose! Jesus couldn't possibly forgive the sins of the wicked who are still doing all those evil things.

The law always judges by what people do or don't do. The Gospel of the Grace and Peace of God judges all unto righteousness because of what God did for all through the cross of His Son. I know that it is very
difficult to hear the news everyday on television or read the newspaper and witness many unfortunate crimes committed by some people, and then believe that God has forgiven those who do such things.

However, the biggest crime against humanity is done when the religious world sits in Moses seat and judges good to heaven and bad to hell. Without realizing it and not knowing what they are doing i setting aside the finished work of grace at the cross, and final judgment rests with man and not with Christ. How sad? That's the reason why this simply grace message is not easily accepted amongst Evangelicals and other religions.

They are all still basing it all on the works of the law. As long as the law continues to be preached mixed in with grace, people will never believe nor accept that God died for the worse of sinners and for people who have committed the worse of crimes. Thank God that it wasn't left up to man as to who burns in hell and who soaks in heaven. The cross was God's final decision to crucify the sin and sins of all men. Good or bad. Thank You Jesus!

For if God were to send one to hell, then He would have to send all. "For all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God."

Grace N Peace
