Romans 6:1-23
Verses 1 and 2 of Romans chapter 6 can pretty much be put like this:
"Ok, now that we have read in chapter 5 that ALL were made sinners by
the disobedience of ONE man, and ALL were made righteous by the obedience
of another, what are we saying? Are we saying that we should continue
serving the law that gave sin its strength so that grace may abound
by the keeping of the law of Moses? Are you kidding me? How shall we
continue in the law of sin and death when the law of sin has been put
to death, and we no longer live according to the dead old man, that
being the law of Moses?"
Verse 3 - "Don't you know, that ALL were baptized (not talking about
water baptism) into Jesus Christ, were baptized into His death?" Verse
4 - "Therefore, all of our sins are buried with Him when He was baptized
unto death (when He nailed the law to His cross); and when He rose from
the dead by the glory of the Father (not by the glory of our works,
the law, religion or man), we ALL were raised into newness of life in
Christ Jesus." Friends, the ONE man Adam, and the law of Moses that
followed placed the entire world (human race) under sin. It took the
death, burial and resurrection of another man, Christ, to bring newness
of life to the entire world.
Notice what Paul continues to say in verse 5. This is something that
you will not find nor read in any of the other so called apostles who
also wrote letters. All that The "3 Amigos" ever did was to pervert
the truth of the Gospel. Something that continues to be done today by
our so called modern perverted preachers, teachers, pastors and evangelists.
Today's pulpit preaching and teaching is all about how you should get
saved to be forgiven of sin and how you should leave your old bad habit
life of sin behind and work on your new life of good morals and clean
behavior.
Do any of you recall when was the last time that a church pastor or
a television evangelist preached out of Romans chapters 1 through 6
and told you that the sin of the whole world was crucified at the cross
of Jesus Christ, and how the sin of the entire world was buried with
Christ, and now the entire world has been raised to newness of life
since Jesus crucified the law that gave sin its strength, and put it
to death? I doubt if any of you have heard such a message. What we hear
and see today behind the evangelical pulpits and in large religious
crusades is how you must come to the altar to repent from sin, do good
so that God will bless you and tithe to get a blessing.
Just yesterday I came across a mailing envelope, mailed by the "Begging
Hinn" so called ministry's, and on the front it had a picture of "Beggy"
lifting his head to the heavens, dressed in his "Katherine or Catherine
Kullman's" white suit, and it read: "Expect A Thousand Times More In
2004?" The question that needs to be asked is: "Expect What?" As far
as I am concerned, the people supporting this charlatan can expect more
condemnation. More deception. More feelings of guilt, more money out
of their pocket, and more consciousness of sin. In the meantime it will
be "Beggy" who will be getting the 'thousand more' in 2004.
These bastards have to come up with some new religious sensationalistic
message, promotion or announcement every year since all of their so
called previous year prophecies of a second coming of Christ doesn't
show up. So in order to survive at the expense of the billions of ignorant
people who still continue to buy stock into all of these deceiving ministries,
they come up with a nice persuading smooth catchy phrase to keep the
people interested and under their control for more money.
Unfortunately people don't realize that they are investing their hard
earned dollar to give it to a ministry that is messing up their mind
with religious old dead laws, rules and regulations. Stop wasting your
money, and invest it in an education for you or your children. Save
it for a nice vacation, or give it to a "Mother Teresa" type of organization
that helps the needy and the poor. Instead of giving it to all of these
mega ministries and their ministers who are living in earthly kingdom
mansions at the expense of people who are paying these bastards who
continue to point out people's sins and put them under yokes that are
impossible to keep.
Friends, Jesus put to death all of the world's sin and sins. As far
as God is concerned we have all been resurrected with Christ when He
put to death the deeds of the law. 2 Cor. 5:19. I get a lot of flack
from many of these mega leaching, money making minitries and from ministers
when I preach this message of the unconditional saving grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ. But it was Paul who defended himself in Acts 24:15
by saying: And I have hope (confidence in God) toward
God, which they themselves (Jews) also allow (know)
that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the
JUST and the UNJUST."
"For the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the
law of sin and death." Romans 8:2. If you want to keep your
heart established in grace and your mind at peace, then stay away from
the dead man's bones preaching sermons of these men who continue to
put the people under guilt, condemnation, fear and sin. One man made
us ALL sinners and another man made us ALL righteous. Friends, our righteousness
is not measured by our morality. If morality could save us, then the
'young rich ruler' would not have felt so bad when Jesus told him: "Yet
you lack ONE thing'.
