Well, quite a few Christian of the weird kind fellow workers gave me
the name. They feel that since most of the people that sit with me and
talk to me at work, don't behave like believers, don't think nor do
like believers, they now see me as a sinner endorser, sinner lover and
sinner sympathizer.
There was a time when many at the place where I work, Christians that
is, sat with me, talked to me, fellowship with me and even held "Denny's"
restaurant and "I Hop" bible study with me during the days
when I led the legalistic studies.
Now many of these fellow Christians don't want to be in the same ship
with me. They don't want to "I Hop" with me simply because
there are more unbelievers hanging around me. There was a time when
unbelievers wanted nothing to do with me because I was the King of condemnation
and religion. Now, ever since I have had a change of heart and mind
concerning the Gospel, it is the believers and the religious people
who want nothing to do with me and are forever giving me religious flack.
Go figure! But what really concerns me is when they don't label me with
anything.
I've gotten so use to name labels that sometimes I forget who I am.
"Jerry Springer" has a show that caters to every human being
with all sorts of personal problems. He listens to gays, divorced people,
entertains what many Christians call people of the devil. People of
who they believe aren't all there, and who they believe will be going
to hell for eternal torment and damnation. It is quite a show. It makes
you laugh and some times makes you sad. The "X" fellow Christian
employees at work see me as a "Jerry Springer" or "Howard
Stern" because I eat, sit, talk with and joke around with the "Jerry's"
and "Howard" groups of this world.
Can't win for losing. But believe me, if I had the choice of being labeled
a "Jerry Springer" or a "John Hagee," I most gladly
go with "Springer" I am for the reject, the down and out and
every ungodly person who Jesus stood for, fought for, died for and resurrected
for. Better to be called a sinner lover than a sinner hater. So keep
bringing on the labels, accusations, attacks and what have you because
this radical Puerto Rican will continue to ruffle the feathers of the
religious two face that think they have a special hold on God's robe,
when what they really have is a sick judgmental mind of self-righteousness.
