July 2004 Update:

I have managed to find one lady (Florika Stepanivna PASKAL) (born 1945) so far that is a second cousin to the PASKALL family (in Canada) living in the Ukraine. She seems to be willing to collaborate with me for the PASKAL(L) family name to take it as far back as possible and fill in whatever blanks that she may be able to. Her father Stepan Stepanyovch PASKAL, was killed in World War II in Russia after being conscripted in 1944 by the Russians from his homeland. Stepan was killed January 9, 1945 and buried in the village of Olkhovatka district, Kaliningrad region, Russia never seeing his daughter and Florika never knowing him. Her mother Frozina, is still alive in the Ukraine as of July 2004. I have written a letter to Florika (June 30, 2004) but have to have it translated to the Ukrainian language so that she can read it. She can not read, write or understand the English language just like I can not read, write or understand the Ukrainian language.

This is going to take considerable time and expense to collect any available information from the Ukraine.
