NOTES:

PRE-BRONZE BALLROOM DANCE: To be eligible for this course, you should have completed Social Ballroom Dance Level 3. In the Pre-Bronze class we follow a set syllabus, only covering those steps listed at the Pre-Bronze level, so it is more structured. We will be covering the following dances only: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Jive & Samba. In addition to learning figures at the Pre-Bronze level, we will also focus on developing a good basic dance technique, as this is important in order to dance well and look and feel your best out on the floor. It is important to note that there is more material in the syllabus at the Pre-Bronze Level, than can be adequately covered in only one term of dance classes. Therefore, it is recommended, although not mandatory, that you anticipate taking three terms of Pre-Bronze, for example, fall, winter & spring.

BRONZE BALLROOM DANCE: It is recommended that you have completed at least three terms of Pre-Bronze Ballroom Dance, or have the prior recommendation of the instructor (Elizabeth) to participate in the Bronze Level. In this class, we again follow a set syllabus, only covering those steps listed in the syllabus. We study Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Jive & Samba. The development of a very good dance technique is important to enable you to dance these figures correctly and well. Strong legs, and good balance & posture, are essential to looking and feeling accomplished on the dance floor. Again, it is important to note that there is more material in the Bronze Level syllabus, than can be adequately covered in only one term of dance classes. Therefore, it is recommended, although not mandatory, that you anticipate taking three terms of Bronze, for example, fall, winter & spring.

ADVANCED BRONZE BALLROOM DANCE: This course is designed to provide a link between Bronze Level and Silver Level. We will explore the more challenging Bronze Level figures and introduce some of the easier Silver Level figures. In addition, we will review your existing material and link your various figures together into danceable mini-routines to assist you when you are out dancing. You should have completed three terms of Bronze level to enter the Advanced Bronze class.
