What
is McRae Avenue Physiotherapy Clinic?
The
clinic is
situated
in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Mission is
a city with a population of 33 970 inhabitants. Mission is on the
Lougheed Highway (Highway 7), on the north bank of the Fraser River in
the Central Fraser Valley, about 70 km (44 miles) east of Vancouver.
The town of Abbotsford is south of Mission across the Fraser River.
McRae
Avenue
Physiotherapy Clinic has been serving Mission for 18
years. We provide acute and rehabilitative phyiotherapy, and
home visits if required. Our physiotherapists see no more
than two patients an hour.
No
doctor's
requisition
is required. User fees are $50 for the first
visit and $40 for subsequent visits. If you have extended health care,
they may refund you all or part of the fee. Please contact your
extended health care provider for details.
If you
have premium
assistance from the BC Medical Services Plan, the
user fee is $10. You are entitled to a combined total of 10 visits a
year of physiotherapy, chiropractice, podietry, naturopathy and massage
therapy. Please bring your BC Care Card to the first visit. If you
don't know whether you are entitled to premium assistance, you can call
1-800-742-6165 to find out, or contact the clinic to have us find out
for
you.
We
accept ICBC and
WCB
claims. The user fee for ICBC visits is $20 and
there is no user fee for WCB claims. On the first visit, please bring
your doctor's referral, your BC Care Card, and your ICBC or WCB claim
number if you have one.

Lynette
Smith
BSR. MCPA
Marion
Slatter-Blitstein MCSP. MCPA
Phyiotherapist
/ Proprietor
Lynette
trained
at UBC
and graduated as an Occupational Therapist and Physical
Therapist. She has worked in physiotherapy since
1976. She has a post graduate interest in manual therapy,
women's health and osteoporosis, rehabilitative excercise, and
geriatrics. Lynette was involved in adult education for 16 years in the
prenatal field. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in research
and
evidence based practice. Lynette has spent many years camping
and hiking with Girl Guides and with her family. She has recently been on two long distance hikes in Spain and Portugal, and looks forward to more.
Physiotherapist
Marion
trained in
the UK.
After graduating she studied deep tissue
massage in Norway. She later came to Canada, working in Montreal and
BC. She has been at McRae Avenue Physiotherapy for over 15
years. She has a special interest in resolving chronic neck
pain.
Marion has been involved with riding for the disabled for the past 30 years, and is a member of the CanTRA medical board. She's available to consult for riders with disabilities, and is an international classifier for paraequestrian riders.
