Developed originally for BC's 150th Anniversary as part of the festivities at
the Royal BC Museum,
TRACKS OF THE TROUBADOUR is a free-wheeling
one-man musical tribute to the late, great folksinger and folk song archivist
Phil Thomas,

a personal encounter with BC story tellers, history keepers and
social commentators dating back 150 years, and a grand guided tour from
the Rocky Mountains to Vancouver Island.

Go to Mark's background

MARK HELLMAN and his vintage Gibson guitar have entertained people around North America since 1977. His professional career in the arts (CAEA, ACTRA, AFM)spans three decades and many disciplines (theatre, music, puppetry, dance, film/tv, education, independent production, community development), and he has received numerous awards and grants from all levels of government, corporations, and foundations, for his work as an innovator, educator, and independent producer.  He's also known to cartoon lovers everywhere as the voice of the White Fang in the series The Legend of White Fang, and The Dragon in The Paperbag Princess, plus countless other animated delights.  Mark started to 'go solo' in 2000, and has since created two puppet shows: The World's Smallest Shakespeare Co. and Quinn Harley's Dream Factory; and two other one-man musicals for Story Theatre: The Minstrel's Dream and Mean Old Mackie's Last Xmas .
