Timeframe:01.2003 - 04.2003
Supervisor:Michael Donat
Client: Gregory V. Wilson, Baltimore Technologies, Toronto
Description: The Eclipse Test Manager (ETM) is a plug-in to the Eclipse IDE enabling developers to manage the results of tests created and run using the JUnit testing framework. This is made possible by the extendibility of the JUnit plug-in for Eclipse provided within the default workbench. The ETM utilizes this property and it is the basis for its creation. The plug-in's managing capabilities include the archiving and comparing of test results over time as well as across platforms and configurations. It is consists of a status window and a context menu describing the tool's functionality. The summary of test results are displayed in the status window in addition to the intermediate results of comparisons of tests. Along with the graphical user interface, the user is presented the option of using a command line interface to enable the possibility of automated running of test batches. HTML output for easy viewing and analysis is supported with current version.
