Art quilts and wearable art are very exciting to create with today's wonderful fabrics, modern equipment and the huge array of embellishing products and techniques available to today's fabric artists. Fabric dyeing, thread painting, photo transfer, cyanoprinting or sunprinting, and many other embellishing techniques may be used to create your own artistic vision in fabrics, fibers and found items.
This site showcases my art quilts, wearable art and other "just plain fun" things to do with fiber and embellishments. There are also basic tutorials on color theory, fabric dyeing in jars or vats, and free motion embroidery as well as references to locate more in-depth sources as you progress in your art.
Please browse through the site to find basic instructions in several techniques that I use in my art creations. I hope they will inspire you to develop your own style and fabric art. Don't be afraid to experiment and try out new techniques: some will work for you, others will not, but each experience develops your skills and helps to define what works for you.
