Engine Features

Powerful 697cc, 90-degree V-twin, liquid-cooled engine designed for high power output with a flat, user-friendly torque curve - 90 degree V creates perfect primary balance for low engine vibration

Large 30mm intake valves and 26mm exhaust valves set at a narrow included angle for a compact combustion chamber and high combustion efficiency

Twin KeihinT CVKR-D32 downdraft carburetors provide smooth throttle response and high fuel efficiency

Large capacity airbox with snorkel-type air intake and oval-type air filter to prevent dust build-up and reduce maintenance

Electric and recoil starting with automatic compression release and "in gear" starting capability - engine will start in any transmission setting by applying and pressing the starter button

Fully automatic CVT-type transmission with gated-type shifter includes high/low range operation, plus reverse and park - reverse overide switch allows the rider to increase power in reverse

Selectable 2WD/4WD operation with handlebar-mounted electric switch

Unique handlebar-mounted limited-slip front differential control allows the rider to vary the amount of front differential slip and if necessary lock the differential for maximum traction

Electronically-controlled engine brake system monitors vehicle speed and engine rpm to automatically apply engine brake above 3 km/h

Reliable DC-CDI ignition and high-output charging system with maintenance-free battery

Durable steel constructed, double-cradle frame with standard trailer hitch bracket and winch-ready front bumper, plus lightweight aluminum skid plate

MacPherson strut front suspension with 6.7 in. of wheel travel and preload-adjustable single rear shock rear suspension with 7.2 in. of wheel travel - combines comfort with agile sport performance

Large front disc brakes and sealed multi-plate rear brake provide consistent braking performance under all operating conditions
