The design team was challanged with designing, constructing, and testing a tethered underwater ROV; the ROV occupies a space of 50x25x25 centimeters, is capable of sustaining depths of 130 meters, and can carry a variable payload including a video camera. The ROV can maintain a given depth, controlled by PID circuitry. A prototype was constructed and successfully tested in August, 2004 (unfortunately, due to the theft of a camera, no pictures/video survives). Key Benefits
Design team: Damineh Akhavan, Scott Hall, Domitille Marcuéÿz, Ireneo Sioson, Andrew Stringer While this project was not intended for commercial use, special orders can be met. |
