As mentioned previously, my interests are numerous and varied: reading, cooking, film, camping... yadda-yadda-yadda. Aside from engineering (my vocation), I enjoy studying history (specifically, 20th Century history) - I'm a firm believer in Winston Churchill's adage: "The farther back you look, the farther forward you can see." Of course, in studying history, you can't avoid examining politics and religion - they all go hand-in-hand. To be honest, I'm amazed I haven't lost all faith in humanity, but I digress... I enjoy working with my hands. In the last few years, I've managed to manufacture a strange variety of items - among them, a working clock made entirely out of paper, a complete head-to-toe suit of medieval mail armour, and a replica signpost from the TV show M*A*S*H. I'm currently piecing together a replica .50 caliber Browning machine gun for my 1942 Willy's MB (Jeep). Check out the links to the left for some further detail. |
