Application Form
We are currently accepting
applications for the Course beginning September 2008
APPLICATION FORM: The application form must be completed
and forwarded to the following address: Montessori Training Centre of B.C.,
# 200 - 8555 Cambie Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6P 3J9, Canada
FEE SCHEDULE: A
non-refundable Application Fee of $150.00 for Canadian applicants and $250
for international applicants must accompany the Application Form. A deposit
of $1300.00 is due upon acceptance into the programme to reserve a space; the
first tuition fee installment of $4,125 is due on the first day of the
first term; the Association Montessori Internationale Student Membership Fee
of $50.00 is due on the first day of the first tern. The second tuition fee
installment of $4,125 is due on the first day of the second term. An
Examination Fee of $250 is due with the second installment.
Interest will
be charged on late payment of fees.
A Resume must accompany the application form.
The applicant must request from the most recently attended University, Community College
or other institution granting a diploma that official transcripts be forwarded directly to
the above address. Photocopies provided by the applicants cannot be accepted.
A written report of a two hour observation of an AMI directed 3-6 classroom must be
submitted. Contact the Training Centre for availability of classrooms in your area.
References must be listed as requested on the application form; do not forward letters
of reference. Give full address for references, including postal codes.
Include fax and e-mail address when possible.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: The academic portion of
the Course is conducted at a university level and the language of
instruction is English. It is the responsibility of the applicants whose
first language is not English to assure themselves that their proficiency
will allow them to follow lectures and successfully complete the course
requirements.. A TOEFL score of 230 computer or 560 paper testing is
required. TOEFL documentation is required with application papers.
A personal interview will be arranged for each applicant once the
application file is complete (receipt of the application form with 3
references, non-refundable application fee, resume, observation report and
transcripts.)
Upon acceptance a Health Certificate must be provided by a
Physician to meet provincial regulations.
Upon acceptance to the course, consent for a Criminal Record Search
is required to meet provincial regulations. The forms are sent to you during
the summer.
Upon acceptance, two passport-size type photographs must be provided for your file.
