The Sensorial Area and the Normalized Class
Presented by: Ginni Sackett, Director of Training, Montessori
Institute Northwest
This could be considered the sequel to Ginni
Sackett's previous presentation on “Practical Life and the
Normalized Class” which was received with great enthusiasm!
Ginni will discuss how the Sensorial activities offer
opportunities to strengthen normalization. She will explore the
many benefits to the older children of the wonderful dynamic
work the Sensorial area provides beyond the initial
presentation. She will also focus on Indirect Preparation and
the development of connections with Math and Literacy. And of
course, to complete any presentation on Sensorial, one must talk
about abstraction, imagination and the development of the
intellect. We are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding
weekend once again!
