- Here is you chance to own a great shirt! This shirt features amazing vintage graphics of the historic 1949 Daytona Beach Races on a brand new high quality T-shirt. The 1949 Race was only the 3rd running of the famous 200 mile Beach race after the war. Fans were delighted to see Indian Scouts, Harley WR's, Triumphs, Matchless, BMW's and some very fast Norton Manxs motorcycle battle for first. Dick Klamforth ended up winning on his factory prepared 500cc single cylinder Norton Manx. This shirt up for auction is size LARGE and features a high quality last forever antiqued white ink print on a dark navy blue T-shirt. This shirt is also available in sizes Medium, X-Large and XXL. Motorcycle Hillclimb
- This shirt has a great image of a man flipping over on his antique motorcycle while trying to climb the dirt hill. Harley's, Indians and Excelsiors's were the bikes of choice in the 1920' and 30's. In these event riders competed against one another and the hill to see who could make the fastest or highest up the hill. The Class "A" races were for the big 74 cu in motorbikes. Likely a "C" Class race (45" motor) would have ran at the same event. This is from original poster that was hanging in my friend's Grandfather's garage for YEARS! This poster was for a 1930's event near Seattle. (Black shirt with yellow ink) |

Wall of Death
- This shirt has a great image of a man riding his antique motorcycle on one of the famous "Walls of Death" from the 1930's or 1940's. Brave men defied death by riding their old Harley 45" and Indian Scouts in these vertical wooden carnival creations. Hard to beat this great shirt if you love old motorcycles and their history. New Departure
- This design is showing a 1930's era man wearing old style clothing holding up one of the most famous bicycle and motorcycle hubs: The New Departure Coaster Brake Hub. This is a beautiful shirt...something for you to proudly wear while pedaling around on your New Departure equipped Schwinn, Elgin, Columbia, or Whizzer or JC Higgins. New Departure coaster brake hubs were also used on some early motorcycles built in the teens and earlier. In 1898 the New Departure Company designed a device that would allow a bicycle rider to "coast" while allowing the pedals to remain stationary. Well that has become bicycling as we know it! Wear this proudly at you next vintage ride or meet!! (Black shirt with antique ivory white ink.) |

Air Race!
- A tribute shirt to the famous 1948 Cleveland National Air Races. This shirt features an amazing image of a post war clipped wing racing plane shooting past the Cleveland airrace course pylon!! These famous races were held for almost 10 years until September 1949 when Bill Odum crashed his P-51 Mustang into a local house. Professional airmen and wartime aces, as well as women pilots converged on Cleveland each September to "show their stuff". This event was likened to the Indianpolis 500 of car racing or the Daytona 200 of motorcycle racing. Souped up ex-military planes were used by hotdog pilots to race for fame, trophys and cash. P-51, Corsair F2-G's, , p-38's and P-39 Aircobra all dashed around the 15 mile course much to the delight of huge crowds. Too bad we couldn't have all been there! (Black t-shirt with white ink.) |
