Loading a Container for Nigeria
May 10, 2003 @ Victoria
Drove down to Victoria for the day to assist in loading a 40-foot container to be shipped to Nigeria. Twenty six hospital beds and mattresses, boxes of medical supplies, sporting goods, office equipment, school supplies, toys, clothes, sheets, etc. will be arriving in the African country not too long from now where a jubilant army of volunteers will be unpacking, sorting and distributing to at least 3 hospitals and elsewhere. Paul, pictured below will be on the receiving end as well and will be coordinating the receipt and distribution of the materials sent. May be tiring at the end of the day ... but oh, what joy!
Compassionate Supper
May 4, 2003
Medical Plan for Missionaries is the Nazarene Missions International (NMI) emphasis for the month of May. Part of this involved presenting the "Distinguished Service Award" to Mr. & Mrs. Joe and Doreen Rumney for decades of outstanding service and dedication to God and the local church.
A family that prays together ... is blessed. The Nanaimo Naz church takes time to pray for The Wattons as they prepare to fly to Nigeria on the 7th of May.
A family that eats together ... (I'll leave it up to you to fill in the blank) ...
Len and Sandra: "Now that the roast is gone, it's time to listen." (Thanks for the yummy roast guys!)
Pastor Bob: "Trust me. I'm really just letting that roast beef melt in my mouth."
I guess supper's over eh?
This rainbow tells me God is pleased. :)
