The Pushcart Prize and Best American Short Stories. It has featured poetry, fiction and essays by authors from Finland,

(Canada) $40. 00 (USA) The New Orphic Review publishes fiction and articles up to 10,000
words in length. It publishes poetry ranging from sonnets to free verse, but
the editor-in-chief, Ernest Hekkanen, who describes himself as “an
opinionated visionary beholden to no one,” is
tough on poets. He is a man who appreciates versatility and range, and
The New
Orphic Review exemplifies
this. Submissions by mail only. Include an SASE. If you are from the U.S. or Europe, enclose
an IRC. The editor-in-chief doesn’t respond by email to submissions. If you
want a response, enclose an envelope! I’m tired of receiving U.S. submissions
with U.S. postage on the SASEs. U.S. stamps are useless in Canada. If your
post office doesn’t deal in IRCs, enclose some U.S. currency that can be
turned into suitable postage. Many writers have appeared in the pages of The New Orphic Review. Some of them include Richard Coan, Michael Humfrey, Thomas
D. Drescher, Irene Mock, Priscilla Long, Frederick Davis, Daniel J. Langton,
