About Us
The Northern Light is currently owned and published by Don &
Maha Sukkau. The Northern Light is formerly The Trading Post which has
been in publication for over 13 years, by Dave Holden as The Omineca
Trading Post for 4 of those years. Don and Maha Sukkau purchased
it in November
2000. Don & Maha moved to Vanderhoof in 1993. We went
to
Egypt in 1997 for a three year service term with MCC. We returned to our home in
Vanderhoof in the summer of 2000. In November of 2000 we
purchased this newspaper from Dave Holden. We would like to
provide articles of interest to the Nechako Valley and Bulkley Valley
region.
The online version of the Trading Post was designed by David Holden
(the son of Dave Holden). It has been developed by Don Sukkau.
We changed the name to The Northern Light.
