April already. How time flies. Now only 2 more months left of school, I can’t wait for it to be over. Sure school’s fun during the breaks when I can hang out with friends or if we’re doing something fun in class that day, but other than that... it’s not all that exciting. I also know that during the summer I’m going to want to go back to school out of boredom, what would we really do without school ever? I don’t really know, and since it’s here there isn’t a good way to find out. Don’t worry this article isn’t all about school, right now I’m going to insert a random sentence. I like penguins. See, I basically just went to the North Pole or something like that... Alright, so I have nothing to talk about actually, so I think I’ll just close off my Missions Trip from my spring break.
So if you remember my last month’s article I talked about how I was excited to go on Missions Trip, well I had good reason. This year was really great and I really enjoyed it. I got to do some hard work and some easy work with my friends. Tuesday I did Potter’s Mission and they needed the fire retardant stuff on the ceiling ripped off so my friend, Jordan, and I got up on a small room and started ripping the stuff off. It was so dusty everything got dust on it, but I had a really great time seeing who could pull off the largest piece. Wednesday I went to Quest. Quest is a store with food items that have been rejected and returned to the manufacturers and stuff like that set at really low prices. This gives people with financial troubles the chance to be able to buy what they want and helps them feel better about themselves. So Quest had a new store opening up and we got to clean up and put food where it should be, move stuff around, and I had a really great time. Thursday I went to Lifeline. Unfortunately I forget what that was, but I know I had a good time because I never had a bad time there. Friday I got to go to More Than a Roof. M.T.R. was a place with a bunch of apartments where people could live for a small renting fee. That day they had a BBQ. So I got to help set up stuff and later on I got to play with a bunch of kids. I had a really great time being with those kids because they were so much fun and so active, and I’m not going to lie, they really did tire me out. Saturday we went in small groups to go clean up parks. While my friends and I were picking up garbage in Central Park we started to notice some squirrels, and of course who could pass up the chance to crouch down really low and see if the squirrels would come to us. Many of them did so that was really cool. During our lunch break we decided to feed them some crackers that we had, and of course I had a really great time doing that too. Sunday we went to the church service of the church that we were staying at, and after we headed out to go to the MetroTown mall. There I got to meet up with my cousin and go shopping with her and my friends. So the week was really great and I’m really glad I got to go. I’d like to thank all the drivers and leaders who were there, this trip wouldn’t have been possible without you... literally. So thank you so much.
Well that’s all I have to say, so until next month,
