Ginger Snaps

3/4 c butter
2/3 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molasses
2 c flour (1 ww)
1 tbsp ginger
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves  <>

Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and molasses and mix well.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
Form into small balls and roll in white sugar.
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 8 minutes, watch so they don't burn.

I made about 6 dozen cookies.
