Salt Snort

One common annoyance these days is sinus congestion. Herbs can be helpful to reduce this irritation.

Sinus Capsules

Formula #1 helps to reduce the swelling in the nasal passages, clean the sinus cavities and lessen the formation of mucus. A natural anti-histamine and detoxifying formula.

1 capsule 3 times daily or as directed

Ingredients: squaw vine, burdock root, cayenne, chaparral, golden seal, juniper berries, lobelia, marshmallow root, parsley root.

Formula #2 has antibacterial qualities and helps to eliminate mucus from the sinus cavities. 1 capsule 3 times daily or as directed

Ingredients: comfrey root, fenugreek, Echinacea purpurea root.

You are likely to find other ready made formulas in your health supplement store. A natural antihistamine is activated quercertin. This is a bioflavinoid which is a part of vitamin C.  Some formulas include bromelain which helps with digestion.

This is something that can be done on a regular basis:

Salt Snort

¼ tsp salt (celtic preferred)

¼ tsp baking soda

6 ounces water

Boil the water, pour into a cup and add salt and soda. Cool to room temperature. Pour some into your cupped hand and while pinching the opposite nostril closed, snort the water into the nose. Spit out what drains into the throat. Do the other nostril. Can be repeated four times per day.
