Children's Choir
Watoto
(pronounced 'wah-toe-toe') means 'the Children.'
Since
1994, Watoto Child Care Ministries has placed
Ugandan orphans in families. Watoto considers it vital that these
children are
in a setting that will enable them to receive the individual attention
which is
critical for any child's development. In each Watoto home, there are
eight
children, and a mother who cares for them.
Watoto
currently supports 1,364 children in Uganda. Of
these, 848 live in one of the 108 homes constructed at three existing
Watoto
Villages; and 516 are cared for in their extended families. 14 young
adults are
currently attending university
