This month I’ve been
able to do a bunch of different things that have been lots of fun. At
the end
of February I got to go to “Rush”, a Christian conference held in
Willow Park
Church in Kelowna. It was a really good one this year. I got to see a
couple of
bands, Family Force 5, who put on an amazing concert and Starfield, a
personal
favourite of mine that I’ve seen four times now. It was good to see Jon
Buller
again also with his worship band. The speaker, Bart Campolo, did an
amazing job
and said some really challenging stuff at the conference. I had lots of
fun
with the friends I was with and also being able to visit my
grandparents and a
couple friends from down there. On top of that I got to go do some much
needed
shopping one of the days in the mall down there. It was a great weekend
just to
get refreshed and have fun with people from all over the province.
Last weekend I went to
Quesnel for DramaFest. This was my second year going and I performed a
play
with three senior students from my acting class called “Genus de Milo”.
It was
a great play about a man and how he tries to keep a secret from his
fiancé and
her mother about the fact that his father is a vampire. It’s a great
comedy
with tons of irony. We performed the play for the group there at
Quesnel
Secondary School. I also got to see a bunch of really well done plays
from
Quesnel and William’s Lake. The group from NVSS had a really great time
down
there, watching plays, doing workshops and getting to know other drama
students.
Well that’s about it
for this month. Hope everyone’s enjoying the melting season we’re
headed into.
Until next month,
