The 32nd Annual Vanderhoof Invitational All-Breed Registered Bull Sale was held April 14th at the BC Livestock Co-op Auction Market. 70 bulls were sold for an average price of $1,981 of these 36 (more than half) were Angus bulls. There were also 14 Simmental bulls sold for an average price of $1,936. Five Charolais bulls averaged $2,030. Six Gelbvieh bulls sold for an average price of $1,983. Three Limousin bulls averaged $1,700 and six Hereford bulls sold for an average price of $2,008. There were eleven Black Angus bull s sold for an average price of $1,913. The highest average price was for the 25 Red Angus bulls averaging $2,052 each. The high selling bull was a Red Angus bull sold by McMillan Creek Red Angus of Prince George to Lundean Red Angus of Quesnel for $3,600. The Lunds will use this bull in their registered Angus herd. The second highest selling bull was sold by Day-lite Red Angus and purchased by H&R Ranch for $2,700.
