MAY 2007
This last month has been pretty nice. It’s had it’s relaxing times and busier times. I’ve been watching a lot of hockey, or as much as I can fit into my busy schedule. I guess slowly I’m watching less and less as Calgary is now out and so are the Canucks. Ottawa is still in however and at the moment doing pretty well so hopefully they will make it at least to the last round or even win the Stanley Cup.

I’ve really been enjoying the warm weather coming out. It has been pretty nice. I like being able to walk and not freeze.

I was one of those who organized Prom this year at NVSS. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work. We did a James Bond theme in honor of the fact that this year is 2007… 007. That night went really well, a lot of decorations were put up to give the theme and I think over all everyone enjoyed themselves.

Another thing I’m now working on is another production. I’m stage managing for the Vanderhoof Children Theater’s play called “Lumberjacks and Wedding belles”. It’s a play set in Washington territory (before it became a state) about some women who are called “wedding belles” from Boston who come seeking to civilize the lumberjacks and perhaps find love. We had our opening night on Saturday, May 12. We had a sold out house, which was really good. We’re doing our next public performance May 24, 25 and there will be two on the 26th. Admission is by donation and the proceeds go to a trip the cast will be taking to Prince George to perform at the Playhouse. It’s a good group and they work hard.

Well that’s about it for this month. Enjoy the warm weather and the Grad weekend coming up in the beginning of June.
