Granola Bars

3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 cup raw, unsalted sunflower seeds
¼ cup sesame seeds or hemp seeds
½ cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips or coconut
1 cup finely chopped dried apricots or mango
1 cup chopped dried cranberries or raisins
3/4 cup butter at room temperature
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup golden corn syrup
1 ½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp. Salt
 
In large bowl, stir together oats, cereal, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and chocolate chips.  Add apricots and cranberries; mix well and set aside.
 
In another large bowl, beat butter, sugar, corn syrup
vanilla and salt until smooth.  Add oat mixture and stir
until blended.  Press evenly into greased 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1”
jelly roll pan.  Bake at 350 for 18 min.or until light brown.
Cut into bars.
