Spring Black Bear Hunt

These hunts are conducted daily from the base camp by four wheel drive to the river and then by boat. Bait stations with tree stands are used. Spot and stalk hunts are also available if desired. The season runs from mid-May through mid-June.
The bears in our area come in various color phases, ranging from blond to chocolate brown and black. Bears have been taken in the last couple of years ranging in skull size from 18" to 20 6/8". (NOTE: This is a 2 bear area.)

This hunt is conducted from log cabins up on the Buffalo Head Hills, or tents in other areas. Four & six wheel drive vehicles are used to and from camp. The season runs from mid-September through mid-October. These dates coincide with the moose calling season.
The moose range in size from 30" spread to 55" with an occasional one going to 60" or better.
