Time is quickly passing and we are now preparing the birds for the first of the two “Sprint Races”

The birds have had many training tosses most very successful and unfortunately 
we had a couple of challenging ones, good weather but quite a number of losses.  
The birds have been to 110 miles and although we dropped a few birds we had very good returns.

We now have put the electronic bands on the birds and enclosed is a list of the remaining birds.  
The health of the birds is excellent and they look and are flying great.

This weekend August 9th they will be going to 140 miles and we would like to remind you that 
the following weekend August 16th is the first of the two Sprint races.  The entry fee is $30.00 
and must be paid before race day to ensure your bird qualifies.  All birds not paid for will be 
sold at shipping to members wishing to participate.  Please send monies to Darlene 
at: 33878 Richards Ave, Mission V2V7E23 604-820-2899.  Payout is 50/30/20 split.  
All monies will be paid out in prize money and will be paid in order of clocking.

The second Sprint race will be 250 miles on August 23rd .

If by chance you have no remaining birds please remember that there will be ample opportunity 
on derby day to obtain birds through the Calcutta and of course you have to be there for the 
door prize draws.

604-856-3637 and of course everyone is welcome to come to the club to watch the birds arrive.
