The North Road Racing Pigeon Society is pleased to once again host the biggest and best derby in the Lower Mainland.

Last year’s derby was yet another exciting and very successful event with 65 out of 100 day birds from 350 miles. We are continuing the same format as last year with not one, but two races!!! And as always there will be great raffles, tons of door prizes, and an enormous smorgasbord of food.

As we have received numerous enquiries already, we suggest you send your entries as soon as possible to guarantee your places in the Canuck Classic Derby Race.

SPRINT TO WIN:

• A 185 mile race to be held approximately two weeks prior to the big race.
• Cost to enter will be $25.00 per bird, which will be split 50-30-20.
• All monies will be paid out in prize money and will be paid as birds are clocked.

CANUCK RACE:

• Birds will be accepted in teams of four birds – three main birds and one back-up.
• Cost $150.00 perch fee for your team of four, plus $100.00 non-refundable entry fee for your first bird which is due when birds arrive at loft --- total cost $250.00 per team.
• $100.00 entry fee for any remaining birds due and payable by September 1, 2006.
• Birds will be flown approximately 350 miles from the East on Saturday September 2, 2006.
• Birds 22 to 35 days old will be accepted from April 8th to May 13th.
• Birds will be accepted on Friday night’s shipping and Saturday at clockout. Please do not bring birds to the club at any other time. Arrangements may be made to drop off birds at John Koene’s 604-576-2463.
• Replacement birds will be accepted until May 31st.
• No limit on entry teams, however, space is limited to 300 birds, so get your entries in as soon as possible.
• If there is more than one bird on the drop, the prize money will be divided among the birds on that drop up to the number of prize positions covered by the birds on the drop. Pools will be paid out according to clocking order.

AN ADDED BONUS OF $500.00 WILL BE GIVEN TO THE FIRST BIRD THROUGH THE TRAP!!!

• Participants must be 18 years of age.
• The owner may bond their birds in the Calcutta for $100.00. The bid would be $60.00 in the high and $40.00 in the low.
• 100% of the entry fees will be paid out in prize money.
• 12% of all auctions will be retained by the North Road Racing Pigeon Society for expenses.
• Capitol Prizes will be distributed as follows: The first bird through the trap will receive a BONUS of $500.00. Remaining capitol will be distributed: 25%, 15%, 10%, 9%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1%, 1%, 1%, 1%, 1%, 1%.
• Auction prizes will be 30%, 20%, 10%, 9%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 1%.
• If the bird is not bonded, the high bidder in the Calcutta will take home the bird.
• Race is open for two days, except:

A – If no birds are home at the end of the second day, the race will remain open for one additional day.

B – If no birds are home at the end of the third day, all entry fees will be refunded minus 10%.

**PLEASE DO NOT VACCINATE FOR POC OR P.M.V. before sending. All birds will be vaccinated upon arrival.
