Olga and Florin are the two adventurous spirits who moved Oana half-way across the world so that she could find Dominic. They embody all things Latin, including good food, quick tempers, and an inability to speak at a normal volume. Oana suspects that they like Dominic more, but she has come to accept this as a fact of life.

Frank and Annemarie relocated to Canada as the natural beauty of Vancouver provided a suitable approximation of their native Switzerland. They have raised four sucessful sons of which Dominic is the last to get married (he is the youngest after all) and are the proud Grandparents of the flower girls and ring bearer. Frank spent his career as a classically trained French chef and instilled his culinary abilities in Dominic (or so Dominic likes to think). Being able to appreciate fine foods, it is little surprise that Dominic is able to appreciate such a fine woman as Oana.
