Contract work with UBC Earth and Ocean Sciences providing platform vessel, equipment and crew for environmental assessment studies on the Fraser River. Developed innovative equipment and methods to improve groundwater profiling.

Partner in krill business. Originally solicited to help maximize the potential of this underutilized fishery. Years spent advancing the fishery through development of gear, harvesting methods and worldwide markets. Substantial effort into R&D with UBC Food Sciences to create value-added products through high-tech processing methods.

FISHERIES AND OCEANS CANADA - TEST CHARTERS     1987 to Present
Performed thirteen charters throughout the coast including herring, salmon and sardine stock assessments, herring spawn survey and gear studies on salmon seine bunts.

COMMERCIAL FISHING     1971 to Present
30 years experience working up from deck hand to skipper to vessel owner. Fisheries include salmon, roe herring, herring SOK, krill, sardines and black cod. Responsibilities include harvesting, processing, marketing, sales, settlements, vessel and gear maintenance and repairs.
