Sound Design and Sound Recording

What are the fundamentals of good sound recording? The goal of this workshop is to provide you with some ideas how that can be achieved. We'll also look at how a production can be designed to use sound in a creative and interesting way. Sound is often taken for granted and very few film/video makers use sound effectively to enhance a dramatic or documentary production. We will look at how to achieve maximum sound quality with the least amount of equipment. All the equipment needed to create sound will be looked at, including sound mixers or wireless microphones.

Assignment: Shooting interviews or scenes for the purpose of achieving optimal sound recording.
