New Directions: Community and Distribution

Innovative ways to get video/films funded and distributed.

Finding funding for projects is always a difficult process and the purpose of this workshop will be identify, in a realistic manner, where the sources are for funding that will allow participants in the workshop to go on to the next level of development.

We shall look at some innovative and effective ways to get a project funded. In addition, we will analyze the "politics" of funding, identify the who's who in the film funding world and try to help wherever we can in the application process to such funding sources as: Telefilm Canada, Alberta Film Production Fund, Canada Council, broadcast funds, broadcasters, and distributors.

We will also have a wrap-up & screening of the projects completed, where friends and relatives can come and see the results of the workshops.
