This unit harnesses the power of 3D and brings it right into your own living room, all in real-time. After years of research, a group of scientists and engineers have finally achieved what many have considered to be the impossible: Convert a standard 2D video image into a true, 3D rendering. What this means is that you can now watch virtually all of your favorite TV shows and sporting events, your entire collection of VHS and DVD movies, your entire library of home videos and play every video game you have ever owned - and do it ALL in real 3D!
Customers outside North America, please note NTSC signal is best for use with the VirtualFX.
We recommend an NTSC supported television and DVD player over PAL and no LCD, projection or plasma screens.

How It Works:
The Virtual FX receives an ordinary video signal through a wire from your
DVD, video player, cable box or Game console. It then sends the converted 3D
Video signal through a wire to your TV set. The Converter System performs
complicated mathematical algorithms which convert standard 2D video into Real 3D
that can be viewed by watching your TV with the included 3D glasses. It does
this by creating separate and distinct left eye and right eye images on your TV
screen and displaying those images in an alternating format. The wireless 3D
glasses included with this system operate by receiving an infrared signal
transmitted from the converter box. The lenses of the glasses open and close in
sync with the televised images ensuring that your left eye sees only the left
eye image and vice versa, thus producing true stereographic 3D!
VirtualFX is a plug and play unit so it's easy to hook up, just like a DVD
player. However, it does have several buttons that are used to enhance the 3D
experience. The Input button is set for the type of signal coming into
the converter (Game system, 2D Video or 3D Video). The Output button
allows you to switch between seeing a 2D or 3D video image. The Phase Adjust
button switches between left-eye-first or right-eye-first video viewing. The
Parallax (<>) buttons are used to increase or decrease depth perception
and the Program Mode button allows you to choose from 4 video source
presets (see below).

If your Shaw Cable box or your
local cable box has a component video output ( White/Red/Yellow) output or
S-Video output then you can simply connect this unit to the Virtual FX
converter and watch your cable TV in 3D. Any Cable Video device with the component video output ( White/Red/Yellow) output or S-Video output will work with this unit. |

| Visual Depth The way humans perceive 3 Dimensions (visual depth) is through the use of both eyes. Each eye sees a slightly offset view of a scene. If you alternate closing your right eye then your left eye (back and forth), you will notice that the objects before you shift position slightly (left to right). The shift in position largely depends on how near or far the objects are from your eyes. This is because each eye sees from its individual vantage point. The two slightly different views are fused together by our brain in a complex way that creates our visual perception of depth. |

| How do the 3D Glasses work? In order to simulate depth when playing video games or watching a movie, each of your eyes must see a slightly different image (see A and B below). The two different Right Eye and Left Eye images are presented together via the odd and even horizontal lines of your TV or PC monitor. Without the glasses, you would see a blurry double view of both images, one on top of the other (see Image C below). Photos A and B below were taken simultaneously with a Stereoscopic camera. The camera has two lenses, side by side, which simulate human vision. Notice the shift in position of the images, foreground to background. This is because of the difference in perspective of each of the camera's left and right lenses. Image C shows a close up of the two views merged together using the odd and even horizintal lines of a computer monitor. |

| When you view 3D content using our patented 3D glasses, the left and right images are seen clearly, one eye at a time. The way that this is achieved is by rapidly alternating the opening and closing of an LCD (liquid crystal display) lens in front of each eye. While your right eye sees the right image, the left eye is blocked by a darkened LCD lens (or shutter) and vice versa, back and forth. This alternating of images occurs many times a second and your brain fuses these separate images into one truly 3-Dimensional image. The speed of the shutters is set in direct proportion to the refresh rate of your TV or computer monitor. The wired 3D glasses remain in-sync with the image source via a connecting wire to the control box. The wireless 3D glasses accomplish this by receiving an infared signal from the control box. |
F.A.Q:

Will the Virtual FX work with my HDTV, LCD, projection or plasma television sets? No. This product will only work with standard CRT (tube-type) television sets. In order to work correctly, the glasses must shutter in exact sequence and in sync with the refresh rate of your television. CRT type televisions refresh at a continuous 60hz rate. HDTV, LCD, plasma and projection type televisions refresh at a RANDOM rate. It is not possible to sync the shuttering of the glasses to a television that refreshes at a random rate. |

| We recommend that no more that 8-10 people watch at one time. Each person will need to have his or her own glasses. (Ask your retailer for pricing and availability or contact the manufacturer for accessories.) The Infared signal travels approximately 20-25 feet. Each person must have a clear, unimpeded view of the television and the converter box and be seated more or less, directly in front of the television. If you are positioned too far to the left or right of the television, the glasses may not receive the signal clearly. |
|
|

| The LCD lenses of the glasses are designed to flicker – or open and close – in sync with the refresh rate of your television. Most people can detect this flickering effect but will adjust to it after a few minutes of viewing. For best viewing conditions, darken the room by drawing shades and curtains and reducing the light level. |

| Make sure that converter box is set for 3D output and the LED light is green. Make sure your glasses are powered on. |
Please Note: CRT or “Tube” type regular televisions
are highly recommended for use with the 3D Video Viewing Systems. These types of
televisions refresh their image in a very consistent manner, which makes it very
easy for the 3D system to synchronize to the signal. So if you have a regular
television read no further and press buy it now for an amazing 3D experience!
If you have an HDTV Ready television picture tube style television just make
sure that you can change the setting to 425i or 525i and it will work great!
HDTV, Plasma, LCD, and many projection television systems refresh their image in
a random manner making it so that many of these televisions are not compatible
with 3D viewing systems. Basically some are compatible and most are not.
International buyers the 3D viewing systems will not work with the newer
televisions that are 100 HTZ. These systems do work with your regular
televisions.
