Oxen Farm

We presently have a young team of Brown Swiss steers (Bull and Dozer) in training as our oxen. These soon to be gentle giants are used for working on our farm along with logging, and will pull our freight wagon in parades and agricultural fairs. They have been featured in the Rural Heritage magazine.

Bull and Dozer will weigh around 3,400 to 3,500 and pounds (1818 kg) when fully grown.

Guests are invited to learn about oxen basics. A full day of instruction can be arranged and guests receive a diploma.
