Partly Dave's Neighbourhood Garage in Vernon, B.C. is a fabulous place for automotive and BMW motorcycle service and repair, located at 1805 46th Avenue in Vernon, telephone (250) 549-3666. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 until 5:30. Of especial note is their stock of old Volkswagen vans for used parts.

Dave is a hoot, a really sweet guy who strives to give his customers the best work at a reasonable cost.

Brett has put up a site for Partly Dave which is much prettier than this one at Partly Dave's pretty website.

His technicians are all expert professionals willing to work on anything that comes in the door and occasionally on vehicles too big to fit indoors. (If you had to work on the newer cars, you'd agree that these mechanics are real technicians.)

Search engines need to see the mis-spelling neighborhood on this page. (So there.) It is also important to add links to other sites of interest, so here are some of Dave's favorite sites:

BMWMOA: BMW Motorcycle Owners of America, the biggest international BMW Motorcycle club, with tons of resources; fun and helpful in the extreme.

Valley BMW Riders, a local BMW club.

The following "boilerplate is here during initial site development.
, a local BMW club.

has technical pages, technical lists, chat lists, a members marketplace, and more.

Ron Beatty is Dave's stateside peripathetic motorcycling friend who administers favors including the building of this page.

Westshore shows views of the neighbourhood near Vernon.

Pictures are important (aren't the kids cute):

Here is room for a picture of the garage with all employees in full battle array:

Or rather a motorcycling buddy with the two bikes ridden to Oregon in 2002:

Here is room for a picture of a parts car (like the old Volkswagen truck), a clickable to link to a page full of parts and cars available for sale:

And here is a "clickable" picture for another web site:

First thing to know is that building web pages is TRIVIAL.

Click on the "View" button on the top line of your browser.
Select the choice that says View Source (or Page Source in Netscape).
Apparently Microsoft, the omniscient, has decided to change the ways things work again, for no other reason than to make life more difficult for everyone. If a new window with the source opens, great! Skip to the next paragraph.
If the new window with the source doesn't open, you will have to Click on the "File" button on the top line of your browser, then click on "Save As", then save the file and open it in a text editor such as notepad.

Notice that the text you've read is repeated in the Source.

The "funny" BR thing starts many of the lines in the source, including this one. It causes the following text to start on a new line in the web page. Two BR things in the source cause a blank line to appear on the web page. Notice that this paragraph has several sentences on separate lines in the source, but the web page strings all those lines together, ignoring the obvious carriage returns. It ignores tabs also.
You can make a web page by copying the source of this page into an editor, removing all this text between the first BODY tag above and the last /BODY tag below. Be sure to leave both BODY tags. Then type the text you want to appear on your web page. Save that file to disk somewhere and you've created a web page! CONGRATULATIONS.

This final line of a web page is often dedicated to a link that returns to the previous page, but on this first page, here are a few links of importance to Ron Beatty: Rambo genealogy.
