  • Thank you for those who volunteered last month
    • Patricia, Winnie, Jen, Kevin, Merry, and George
  • Date for this month has been set for  Monday, April 30 2007
    • Winnie will send out e-mail when the date nears about rides and members volunteering

 

2. LEADERSHIP TRAINING & WORLDWIDE INDUCTION DAY – Lion Peter

  • Was this past Sunday, April 1 2007
  • Michelle, Karen, Ricki, Peter, Jenny, and Carson attended
  • Learned about leadership skills, retention, and Campaign SightFirst II

1. SPRING CONFERENCE – President Michelle

  • Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21st
  • Empire Landmark Hotel, Robson Street
  • Club is participating in the Website Contest
  • Scrapbook Contest will be for next year due to dateline circumstances
  • Michelle and Karen will be going on Saturday for voting
  • Laura, Jennifer, Patricia, Alice will be going on Friday for the Fun Night

 

2. HOCKEY PLAYOFF POOL – President Michelle

  • Was thinking of having a Early Bird Prize, but still waiting on confirmation
  • Matt will send out more details to come via e-mail

4. LIONS JOURNEY FOR SIGHT WALKATHON – President Michelle

  • Burnaby Foreshore Park
  • Club will be helping out with getting sponsors for the food that day

5. WEBSITE – Lion Peter

  • Encouraging members to put their bios on the website
  • Anyone who has pictures of past club events please send to Peter

 

6. CLUB RETREAT – President Michelle

  • Thinking of Camp Alexander
  • Maybe around the end of June
  • More details to come by Michelle

 

 

7. CLUB ELECTIONS AND NOMINATIONS – President Michelle

  • It’s the end of the year already and we need to think about who is going to be on our next board
  • Will be conducting nominations and elections via e-mail and hoping to settle on our new board by the end of this month
  • If anyone is interested in a position for next year please contact Karen or Michelle via e-mail
  • Karen will send out a separate e-mail for this!
