Journey of the Mutant Monk
Searching
for
TRUTH

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.

Discovering
Life's
PURPOSE

The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for. Without a concrete idea of what he is living for, man would refuse to live, would rather exterminate himself than remain on this earth...

Christianity: true or false? - I've spent a few years in soul searching research of the foundations of the Christian faith based on the attacks I'd seen thrown against it. I honestly opened myself up to the possibility that Christianity was wrong. In the end, I found out that there are more reasons to believe Christianity than there are to dismiss it.

Hello Again, God - Man meets God. Man preaches God. Man doubts God. Man studies God. Man disowns God. Something as ridiculous as this only happens in fiction and liberal seminaries. Find out why one of the most vocal evangelists (comparable to Billy Graham) left Christianity for all the wrong reasons.

Four Reasons I'll Never Become a Mormon - There is plenty of literature on the internet, and even more in multiple excellent books, to fairly successfully conclude that Mormonism is doubtful at best. Why add to the pile? God used Mormonism to spark my interest in apologetics in the first place, so it made sense to include it on my website. Hopefully my research will prove useful to some.

Revised Book of Mormon - Very few people enjoy reading the King James Version of the Bible, and Bible scholars have done us an immeasureable favor by retranslating the Bible into modern English. I figured it was about time somebody did the same thing with the Book of Mormon.

Unanswered Questions - A moment or two of vulnerability. All too often I find Christian sources claiming to have all the answers, and that drives me nuts. No worldview has all the answers. Christianity, like every other worldview, has certain things about it that are taken on faith alone. Here are some of my unanswered questions about Christianity and Life.

Jesus: your best answer - I'm guessing this will be the most unpopular part of my site. Nobody likes this crazy Christian idea that we're all slaves, but like it or not, it's the truth. Here's a few examples of how we are slaves, and some thoughts on the advantages of choosing God as your master.

Religion and Politics Beliefs have consequences. After questioning the foundations of my worldview I developed an interest in politics and social issues (an almost inevitable outcome of having a clearly defined worldview). This section represents my effort to interpret society and government through Jesus' eyes.

Web Journeys (kind of like a blog, but much harder to maintain) - These are articles and links that I intend to eventually include on my website, but haven't gotten around to adding yet. Get a glimpse into the future of my website.
