COMMUNICATIONS OBJECTIVE: 
To have the company, Pacific Forest Products Limited, appear as a tangeble, appealing asset to it's intended investor audience.

TITLE SEQUENCE:
A mountain-side forest, covered by clouds, in which the Pacific logo forms.
VIDEO (CLIP BELOW) SEQUENCE:
Pacific's seed orchard on Vancouver Island. Creating genetically superior seed. Incubating genetically superior seedlings. Scandinavian Harvester thinning Pacific's second growth forest stands.

This six minute video was produced for the initial public offering that launched Pacific Forest Products Limited. It was viewed on large projection screens by invited audiences of institutional investors, retail brokers and professional money managers in selected European and North American cities.

The objective was to communicate the positive underlying economics and market positioning of the new company. According to Pacific's CEO, Sandy Fulton, this video was the "star of the show" and received raves from European and North American audiences. The highly successful roadshow campaign raised $130 million for the new company.  Since then, Pacific actively used "Growing Gold" as a promotional video.

In a national competition sponsored by the International Television and Video Association, Canada, "Growing Gold" won a "Golden Maple," beating out leading video-production companies across Canada.

This video was taken from the initial concept to the first screening in exactly one month. It was shot over a large geographical area of Vancouver Island in just four days.
