Wartime Plymouth Devon England

My name is Mary Weston. My maiden name was Trout. I was born in Plymouth, Devon England and lived at Mount Gold Road until 1939 when we moved to Number 50 Neath Road. I went to Holy Cross School from 1932 until 1939. I then went to Notre Dame High School and stayed there until the school was bombed in 1942. The pupils were re-located to Teignmouth but I decided to stay in Plymouth to be with my family. All of we four Trout girls — Pearl, Pat, Eileen and myself — were married from Neath Road at Holy Cross Church on Beaumont Road.

I would love to hear from any old friends, acquaintances, neighbors and employers from the Holy Cross and Notre Dame School Days as well as from the Portland Square and Southside Street days.
