Acel is an adorable Fennec prototype with such an innocent expression. That doesn't necessarily mean he's good all the time, Acel IS a fox, but besides the 'Flithi incident' he's been a real Gem of a Fennec ;). Acel stands 10 1/2" from paw to the top of his head, not including his 4" ears, and 12" from nose to rump...so he's probably pretty close to life size. His tail is an additional 8" in length. He's made with long 1" and 1 1/2" white Schulte mohair which has been dyed, painted and airbrushed to achieve his fennecy coloring. He has a soft sculpted, painted and glossed ultrasuede nose, waxed pearle cotton mouth and claws, and individual nylon whiskers. Acel's German glass eyes are inset into his head against felt to form eyelids and a hint of whites. I've extensively needle and scissor sculpted his face, limbs and ears, and airbrushed the darker colorings on his face, as well as light pink in his ears and on his toes to mimick pawpads! He is softly stuffed with fiberfill & glass beads for weight...he is a heavy boy, weighing 1.5 lbs..that's a lot for a little plush fox! His legs & tail are wired so may be posed in many cute positions. Acel's eyes shine with joyful spirit :) |
