Emilien is a beautiful winter coated Red fox. It's quite chilly here where he was born but his thick, lush coat is plenty warm, and he was a happy foxie for his photo shoot :) He is a good size fellow and stands14" from paw to head, and nearly 17" from his nose to rump. If you count his ears and tail he's 16" tall and an impressive 26" long. His fur is beautiful 1.5" and tipped 3" Schulte mohair. His muzzle and limbs are a semi-dense alpaca. German glass eyes, handsculpted nose, and whiskers are all carefully inset into his head and detailed to look as real as possible. His eyes have eyelids which are part of his design and I've paid special attention to shading around them for maximum foxiness! Emilien's face and paws have been needle and scissor sculpted, and his dark markings are all airbrushed and handpainted. Further, Emilien has adorable applied dark paw pads and two peeking cernit fangs! (see below). He is fairly softly-stuffed with fiberfill and lots of glass beads for a lifelike squishy feel. He can stand with a little help, but because of his natural weight and soft body prefers to lie or sit. His neck is ball-jointed for free movement, his limbs are swivel jointed, and he has a full-body wire armature to assist posing in countless foxy ways. Even his ears are poseable which gives his face such expression!
