Finlay Fennec is a handsome foxy fellow - He's quite happy in this clime right now, rest assured. Though it's not technically desert conditions, the weather has been hot and unbearable for days! I have not heard any complaints from his quarter, at least ;) Finlay is lifesize and stands a respectable13" from his paw to the top of his head, not including his ears which are an additional 5.5", and 14" from his nose to rump, plus a beautiful long-hair 12" tail. Finlay's fur is gorgeous lush 1.5" and 3" German Schulte mohair, and alpaca for his face, legs and backs of his ears. I've needle sculpted his face, ears and limbs, and he even has those odd little "ear flaps" that fennecs do. He has a handsculpted, painted and glossed nose, and waxed pearle cotton mouth and claws. Finlay's beautiful German glass eyes are inset into his head and carefully detailed with upper and lowere eyelids to add realism. His eyes are proper oval-pupil foxy eyes and I've painted them a dark grey (this would not show up in the photos due to the depth and tone of the colour, but it is apparent in person). Finlay has carefully airbrushed and painted tan, brown and dark accents on his muzzle, lips, eyes, toes, ears, and handsculpted lil pink pawpads too! He is medium softly-stuffed with fiberfill and lots of glass beads for a lifelike squishy feel. His neck is custom ball-jointed allowing realistic movement in any direction, and his body and tail is fully wired so he can pose in many streamline foxy ways. Even Finlay's ears are poseable, which allows for such expression =^-^= Please see the second page for pics of Fin in his element!
