Welcome to the image collection of The Kinlochaline Castle
Project.
Here you will find various views of the castle, past and
present.
Some of these photos
are prior to re-construction, some during, and some after.
You'll have
a pretty good idea which is which. There are some which refer to the
"machicolation"
which, as listed in the history of the castle, is a
projection of the wall out over the doorway
with a slit in the bottom
for dropping or shooting nasty stuff at people who might be trying to
barge in(solicitors beware ;-) ).
