This is the one stop fun shop in Squamish. And everybody
knows it.
The Apron is the fat wad of granite that forms a skirt (or,
say, an apron?) at the base of The Chief, to the left of The
Grand Wall. It has many multi-pitch climbs in the moderate grades.
Every weekend, faster than you can say "exceedingly popular",
The Apron is dotted with climbers.
The good news is that 90% of said climbers are on either Diedre (5.7) or Snake (5.9). The latter
is a quality outing that specializes in thin traversing moves
with a "big air" feel. If you can stomach having scrums
at every belay station, I would highly recommend it! If you have
designs for any other route, you stand a good chance of having
it to yourself.
