This recording comes directly from a known master,

taped by the same recorder who did the Hollywood Bowl

master (see, The Fireman's Tapes, Volume II).

 

A direct comparison with the other EX+ common roio from

this date "Mr. Pig" reveals virtually identical recordings,

certainly from the same recorder.  Mr. Pig sounds like it

was boosted and EQ'd (a little too bright for my tastes),

while this recording has been untouched (levels are lower).
