CIPHERS FROM THE MUNIMENTS ROOM: LETTER. A letter respondng to A.L Burt's "Romance of Canada" (1947) in Pitman's shorthand which is not intended to be translated. I wove the shorthand in medieval style tapestry with fine silk and linen. The tapestries have not been exhibited and are available for purchase from the artist. The canvas is not stretched but hangs loosely as an amenable and soft reply to the rigid museum style presentation CIPHERS FROM THE MUNIMENTS ROOM: ARRIVAL in which the woven Burt text is framed.
