Swim
Will be in the pool at Meadow Park Sports Centre (MPSC). The pool is 25 meters long and there will be a limit of 5 per lane.

New Bike Course for 8 - 11 year-olds in 2009!
The new bike course for 8 - 11 year-olds will be less hilly while the other age groups courses remains the same as in past years: through Alpine Meadows along West Side Rd., it is relatively hilly and will be well marked and patrolled.

Run
A flat, out and back course along the Valley Trail provides lots of shade. There will be water stations at 1 km and 2.5 km points and there is a water fountain on the way!

Triathlon BC Sanctioning
The Whistler 'Kid's of Steel ©' 2009 Triathlon is sanctioned by the British Columbia Triathlon Association. Each entrant must be a Tri BC member (or equivalent), or pay the $5.00 day of race fee.
* New: Clipless pedals allowed for ages 13 and under if cleats are embedded in shoes (i.e. mountain bike shoes and cleats). For ages 14 and up, all clipless pedal systems are permitted.
* No Aerobars under 14 years old. Aerobar rules

$35 before May 1st (plus for day of race insurance if not TriBC member)

$40 after May 1st (plus day of race insurance if not TriBC member)

Race Day Insurance is $1 for 8 - 15 year olds and $5 for 16 - 18 year olds
* Can register May 22 at Snow Covers between 15:00 and 18:00.
* No day of race registration!
** Event limited to 100 entrants.
**** Entry fee is totally non-refundable.
***** A parent or guardian must accompany all entrants.
