Subaru Sooke International Half Triathlon - Sep 14

Cristina McKean was very happy with her results in her first ever Half-Iron event. In Cristina's words:

"I manged to pull out a 5th place finish in my age group and a 10th place woman overall. Pretty pleased considering Val and I decided I should do this race just one month ago following the Kelowna Apple Tri."

"I had an ok swim, 37 minutes, followed by a rockstar bike 3:02 and then a bit of wither on the run."

Only two WTC memebers took part in this Off-Road triathlon this year. They had a smashing good time even though the water was a tad cold.

2008 Almere ITU Long Distance World Championships - Aug 30 & 31

Almere, Holland

Congratulations to John Blok, the only WTC member entered in this triathlon: it is 3x Olympic (4k Swim, 120k Bike, 30k Run). John was the first Canadian in his age group (8:50:50). He placed 44th out of 71 starters and 58 finishers in his age group.
