Roberts Creek Residence #1

This modest sized house for a couple is located in Roberts Creek, not far from Vancouver. It is about 2000 square feet, and includes a separate home office and studio.

The site is a rocky outcropping in a forest clearing, and the house itself dances around the natural topography: the main floor sits on a flat rock ledge; the upper floor steps up onto a little summit; and the garage and office/studio are tucked into a natural cleft in the rock.

The house is modern, but also rustic and comfortable, and suits the informal lifestyle of the owners.
